Beyond the Spotlight – Hosted by Lauren Dair Owens and Sam Lant, is a teen radio show which spotlights today’s talent in music, acting, athletics and more. Lauren and Sam give you access to everything teens are interested in today – Since we are teens ourselves we understand what you are looking for out in the world… entertainment and music are the main focus in your life just like ours. So… look to us to get you up close and personal with all your favorite teen stars. Not only will we be talking to these exceptional teens about their latest projects but we will GO BEYOND THE SPOTLIGHT to talk about their life outside of entertainment, favorite pastimes, future goals and their favorite charity, or cause, and how they are working to raise awareness and make a difference in their community. We also want to talk to our guests about the things that interest you, through twitter you can send your questions to #askbts then listen to see if we bring you into the spotlight with us.

About Lauren Dair Owens:

Lauren Dair Owens is a recording artist and singer for the band GRAVITY HILL and can be seen as the recurring young Jess on the hit FOX show “New Girl.” Lauren is an accomplished singer, bass player, keyboardist and guitarist. She writes a blog called “Songs that have changed by life” reviewing music new and old. Lauren’s gift has been to connect with those young and old and she loves being the host of Beyond the Spotlight. She enjoys interviewing others to hear their stories of success, both in front and away from the camera. Lauren’s passion is to learn about others and the charities that they support. Lauren currently lends her time to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, Starlight Foundation, Starkey Hearing Foundation and many other events throughout the year.

About Sam Lant:

Sam Lant grew up on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe and spent his days skiing or wakeboarding depending on the season.  At age 3, Sam began to ask about being an actor and auditioned for local plays.  Winning IMTA New York in 2006 opened doors for him to become a working actor in Hollywood.  He is best known for his role as "Dave" the freshman party crasher in Warner Brothers Studios hit movie PROJECT X.  He also played Skylar in Julie Rubio’s Indie Film “too perfect” – a coming of age film about 5 boys on their last day of middle school.  In his free time, Sam likes to hang out with his friends, Freeline Skate, Geocache, Parkour, Ski, Wakeboard and play video games.  After high school, he plans to study aeronautical engineering with the dream of one day working as an astronaut.  He likes to say "I picked the hardest to jobs to break into as my life long dreams - Actor and Astronaut."  Sam is very involved with giving back to his community and works with charitable organization such as Ronald McDonald House, Shoes that fit, Habitat for Humanity, LA Food Bank and Champions Against Bullying.  Follow Sam on Facebook at www.facebook.com/samlant, on Twitter - @actorsamlant and on Instagram - @samlant
